The bible is translated from Greek, Hebrew, and a few sections Aramaic. Sometimes there are nuanced meanings where translations do not readily reveal the subtly. Here are some helps to let you know where those subtleties are and an idea of what they mean.

When an addition or omission in the Bible text raises the rare question of the better reading, Metzger's work is the gold standard for those who are not trained in reading critical apparatus. This is a text for you who are aspiring to really dig into the dep[ths of the New Testament.
