What To Expect

Welcome to GracePoint's discovery page. We'll walk you through the front door of our facility and introduce you to some people and ministries you would meet on a typical Saturday night.  Trying to find us is a bit tricky. I suggest you first locate us on our directions map.  The satellite map is best http://www.gracepointfellowship.org/contact/directions.

As you travel north on SR500 (Everett Rd.), you will see our banner below the
Lacamas Heights Baptist Church sign. Take the next right and you should see our large white and green sign in front of the building.
Choose any visitor's spot for ease of parking (visitor's sign) and come in the front door on the walk between the hedges.

Once you've made it this far, the rest is a breeze, so come on in, meet a couple of people, and relax.  As you enter, the table in front of you has service information, but more than likely you will be greeted and given a service info pack. Don't worry, we won't slap a sticky name tag on you and will try our best not to embarrass you or us.

You'll get a simple greeting and will be shown the auditorium, the bathroom, classrooms for children, etc. You will probably also see Mary Ellen, who assists with about everything, Roger, who has made a fresh cup of coffee or hot water for tea if you're interested, and Rono or Rob, our two #1 sound and serve anywhere guys. I couldn't get Rob's picture into the frame.

We begin with a short greeting and explanation about the evening's service.  After that our worship team leads in about 4-5 songs.  The tempo and mood depends upon
who's leading, Jonathan - lively, Elizabeth -in between, or Paula - reflective.

Singing is followed by receiving of the offering. We don't shake anybody down, so not to worry and, in fact, your presence is a gift to us so let
the basket pass. We do a little something different then, we have a time
of open-mike sharing. where life stories from the past week are
shared.

Now comes a choice. We take a 5-8 minute break where the kids are dismissed
to children's church, folks get some coffee, and, if we didn't quite meet your
hopes, you can comfortably take your leave and no offense will be taken. We hope you have found the service uplifting, however, and hope you will stay for our more formal part of the service.

We gather back together for prayer and communion on 1st and 3rd
Saturdays.  Following communion comes the sermon, for which the
notes are provided each Friday before (http://www.gracepointfellowship.org/resources/sermons/).  The service ends after about a 30 minute sermon and you can feel free to meet and talk with various folks in the halls or fellowship room, listen to the musicians cool down for a few minutes of reflection in the auditorium, or head on home and process your experience.

Oh yes, to meet me on this site you'll need to navigate to "About Us."  If you have any questions, feel free to contact me by e-mail, listed under "Contact Us."
